The importance of the wood-fired oven for our private chef Granada
Clara’s grandparents grew up in a family of bakers and it was there that she discovered her passion for cooking. Every weekend they had the tradition of baking bread in the clay oven, a very precious commodity in the family. It symbolises the values on which Yantar is based: sharing food after baking bread and relaxing in good company. A place for gastronomy and fun.
Tradition and modernity
Continuing with tradition at the Finca is the main reason why the clay oven is so important to our chef privado Granada. It also brings that historical value to the house, which is an extra attraction for guests to connect with the beginnings of Finca Yantar.
In addition to being a decorative element, the oven is still operational and gives a different and characteristic touch to the dishes prepared in it. The oven is also used for some complementary activities, for example, in the bread workshop. It gives a crunchy touch to the outside and a tender touch to the inside.
Thanks to the shape of the oven, the heat is distributed evenly, so that the food is cooked evenly. This is why the meat and fish are so juicy and tender. And also thanks to our private chef Granada. Not forgetting the smoky aromas that are given to the dishes, enhancing their flavours and providing unique nuances.
Example of a menu with a wood-fired oven
Apart from the extra activities, some of our menus include these dishes that are prepared in the clay oven by our private chef Granada, as for example, this long menu 3:
Bread baked in the oven accompanied by extra virgin olive oil
Spinach, beetroot, blue cheese, walnuts and pear salad
Leg of lamb, potatoes, onion and aioli
Tropical fruit salad, dry meringue and ice cream
A delightful experience on hands of our private chef Granada, based on gastronomic pleasure and enjoyment with the best company. Book your stay and enjoy a luxury gastronomy with a lot of history.
