Only 14 kilometres from Motril we find the beach of Calahonda. A beach whose crystalline waters make it one of the favourite attributes for visitors. Its waters are perfect for exploring the marine fauna, doing some scuba diving or snorkelling.

La Joya beach, also in Motril

This “jewel” is located at the foot of a cliff, creating an atmosphere of peace and disconnection perfect for holidays.

It is a difficult beach to access, but well worth it as it is one of the most unexplored and quietest beaches in the area. Perfect to enjoy and connect with nature.

La Guardia beach, in Salobreña

In Salobreña we find the beach of La Guardia, a quiet beach, where you can breathe calm due to its small number of people. In the shape of a u, this beach has dark sand and small stones that make the water transparent. 

With a car park at the entrance, La Guardia beach has several amenities that will complement a perfect family day at the beach. With several restaurants, beach bars and an activity centre to take water sports classes such as kayaking or pedal boats.

The beach of San Cristobal, in Almuñecar

This beach of dark sand and small pebbles has the most amenities in the area. It is one of the most urbanised beaches in the area, so you can easily find restaurants, activity centres and everything you need.

La Herradura beach, in Almuñecar

This beach is not just any beach, but this entire coastal area was declared a Natural Park in 1989. 

It is one of the favourite beaches for snorkelling enthusiasts, as its seabed is one of the most beautiful on the coast of Granada. In fact, it was awarded the Q for Tourism Quality for the protection of species at risk of extinction and the coral reef.
